Mark Simpson, CFP®
Mark has worked in the financial industry in Houston for 31 years. Mark is a native Houstonian, and was born at St. Luke’s Hospital, grew up in Memorial and graduated from the University of Texas in Austin. Mark loves financial planning and working with his clients to help identify growth potential for their wealth and work toward their goals.
Over the last 30 years there has been a lot of volatility in the markets. Mark relies on his conservative and steadfast investment philosophy to help clients navigate through difficult markets. Like the 1987 stock market crash, the 2000 tech bubble, and the 2008 great recession. Through all of that Mark has helped his clients stay on track and continue to work towards their investment goals.
Mark, and his wife Cally, have been married for 38 years. They have two sons, Clark and Allen.
Most Sunday mornings you will find Mark at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church West Campus playing the guitar at The Journey Contemporary Service. He has been playing for services at MDUMC since 2001. Come by and say hello one Sunday!
Mark also enjoys reading (lots of Non Fiction, often regarding the financial industry) camping with his wife and their three or four rescue dogs.
Because of Mark’s love of dogs he honors his clients on their birthdays with a donation in their names to CAP (Citizen’s for Animal Protection).
